Because I felt like the thousand projects I already had-on wasn’t enough, Mike Ellis and I have started a new project called Museum In A Day, where we’ll be building an entire museum website in a day (probably with WordPress, or something similar).
Some might think this is in conflict with the (genuinely ground-breaking) Web CMS that our web development company produces, but I think it’s complementary. Smaller museums and galleries usually aren’t able to benefit from large-scale content management system implementations, and want something that they can quickly download (or set-up, if it’s Software As A Service) and get up-and-running in minutes. If these people will never get to benefit from the development of Amaxus, then we might as well do everything we can to show what the best alternatives are.
